About Port Fairy Film Society

Port Fairy is a small coastal town of 3,500 people in South West Victoria, Australia. Our Film Society is a community group of non-professional film lovers. The PFFS is run by volunteers. The PFFS became the de facto cinema exhibitor in 2005 after the private operator decided it was not viable to continue. The PFFS has a primary program of 12 monthly Film Society screenings of popular and sometimes art house films and during the christmas holidays we run the summer movie program which starts in December and continues through to late January. We also host our own  Australian Film Festival.

The Port Fairy community made a decision.

To fund the replacement of the 35mm film projectors and analogue sound system. With a new DCP D-cinema projection and sound processing system.
